Girlfriends!
I have missed you! I cannot wait to see you all again and find out what you’ve been doing all summer. Please join us at the Rosewood Neighborhood Cafe ~
Friday, September 9 from 9:30 – 11:30 am
I’m so excited to dig into one of my favorite books of the Bible with you! For a long time I have wanted to write a study on the book of Proverbs, but I confess it was rather overwhelming. The 915 verses in Proverbs seem like they were written on separate note cards, shuffled, then randomly placed in no particular order. I try to read from Proverbs daily (there’s a chapter for each day of the month), but it would take years to absorb the wisdom in this collection of wise sayings about daily living!
Thankfully, one of today’s best Bible teachers has done the hard work for us. Beth Moore has released a new study called “Wising Up: A Woman’s Study on the Book of Proverbs.” We’ll do the following lessons during our 7-week fall session:
- A Call to Wise Up
- A Wise Friend
- Wising Up with Our Money
- How Wisdom Looks on a Wife
- Wisdom for Moms
- Wisdom with Words
- The Wisdom of Restraint
Each session has a video and a listening guide. I will write a “Second Cup” devotional for you to take home and do at your own pace.
Because of the length of each video, please note that our meeting time has been extended until 11:30 am. If sometimes you need to leave a little early, we completely understand.
Mark Your Calendars!
We will meet on the following dates:
- September 9 & 23, 2011

Kids Cafe
On-site childcare is available at the Kids Cafe! Please RSVP by Thursday each week that we meet and let me know the number and ages of children you’ll be bringing. The suggested donation is $2 per child, and we will also have a snack and drink sign up for the Kids Cafe.
Invite a Friend
Invite a friend if you’d like! We are a mix of women from many different churches (or not church at all!) of different ages at different stages of life. All are welcome! Please let me know if you’ll be joining us this Fall so I can prepare materials.
I’ll brew the beans if you’ll bring a mug!
