Walking with Integrity

Amy Lively

Hello, Rosewood Cafe girlfriends! Thank you so much for spending every-other Friday with me, our time together is one of my very favorite things! In case you missed the fun, scroll down for the handout with your Second Cup devos. We’ll talk about these when we meet next week, when we’re moving on to verse three. Put this on your television set, why don’t ya!

I will set no worthless thing before my eyes;
I hate the work of those who fall away;
It shall not fasten its grip on me.

Psalm 101:3 (NASB)

Our prayer requests were sent to you separately, please be faithful to pray for each other until we meet again. I want to share with you the most beautiful message I received from Pat:

I was praying for all these requests and the women and the families represented. I don’t know everyone well enough yet to put all the faces and names together, so as I was praying I just closed my eyes and pictured your living room, seeing everyone sitting there and asked the Lord’s blessing on each.

Two things came to mind. One is that He knew we were all going to be there and knew what each hand was going to write beforehand, and still He wants us to share with each other and pray for each other. He knows how essential it is that we stay connected and build these relationships, because it’s not like He wouldn’t be able to take care of any of these requests Himself!

Secondly, as my eyes were closed I saw Jesus walking around the room behind each chair and laying His hand on each head in blessing. I kind of laughed and said “Lord, it’s kind of like ‘duck-duck-goose’ except you’re not choosing only one and she doesn’t have to chase after You!” Maybe He smiled a little at my goofy humor, but the main impression I had was His overwhelming yet gentle LOVE for each woman in that room and that as He laid His hand gently on each head in blessing, He knew each heart intimately – more intimately that any other human being EVER could, and STILL He loves each of us as His darling bride! Wow…..

Wow, indeed! Wow. Wow. Wow. Close your eyes. Put your hands on top of your head. Feel the weight of them, feel their touch upon your head – not through your hands. Imagine that this is Jesus’ touch. He is so in love with you!

I can hardly wait to welcome you and Jesus back next week. Thank you in advance to BONNIE for bringing bread and DONNA for bringing fruit. Click here if you want to go see Lysa TerKeurst, founder of Proverbs 31 Ministries, on Saturday, March 13 in Mount Vernon. Lysa is a fantastically gifted speaker and author and this will be a fun day for us! Let me know if you’re going so we can plan to ride together. Purchase your own ticket online for the Saturday portion only.

    Hi, everyone! I’m passing on this message from Suzette:

    I saw this on a plaque in Rockbridge. It seems appropriate for Rosewood Cafe and what we’re learning, studying and sharing.

    “A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and sings it back to you when you have forgotten how it goes.”

    I love that! It touches a cord deep within and speaks volumes, I think. Have a lovely day!
