Hello, dear friends! I truly hope you’re planning on joining us for the last Rosewood Neighborhood Cafe of 2011 this Friday from 9:00-11:00 am when we’ll finish up Beth Moore’s lesson on “Wisdom with Words.” Please bring your folder of handouts and your Bible.
Last time, Beth gave us a homework assignment that will clear our heads and our hearts of some hurtful words. She asked us to:
- Write down any piercing words that have wounded you. Put them in quotation marks, and go ahead and identify the speaker–the same way you hear them over and over in your head. No one will see these words except you.
- Find Scriptures that refute or redeem these words. Write 8-10 verses on a separate piece of paper. Even if the words were painfully true, find God’s words of redemption.
- Fold the page of destructive words and cut them into pieces. Bring the pieces to the Cafe and we’ll burn them in the fireplace!
- When your mind replays the old words, focus your thoughts on God’s words instead.

Cafe 2012
We’re going to take a few weeks off for Christmas, then we’ll get back together starting Friday, January 20, 2012 from 9:30 – 11:00 am (please note later time). I’ll be teaching a new Bible study I’m writing called “The End Is Near!” Were the Mayans right? Will the world really end in 2012? Well, I don’t know about that – but I do know there are four surprising commands we are given specifically for the last days. Please invite a friend! Mark your calendars now -
- January 20
- February 3
- February 17
- March 2
- March 16
- March 30
See you Friday, girlfriends!
Love,
