Book Bags for the Homeless: TONIGHT!

Amy Lively

Would you like to take part in a miracle?

“To imagine that I can take part in being part of HIS miracle for some one is so awesome. I have had hugs and thank you from many people. I’ve seen people able to access other agencies for help and start to get on their feet. The book bags is a sense of hope, that someone does care, That they are not just the seen but unseen throw aways of society, Every time I see a book bag I am reminded to pray for that person not knowing if it is one that has been passed out or not but everyone needs prayer. I have seen the community be so generous last year I was in tears when I saw everything. I just couldn’t have imagined. This has sooooo increased my faith that what THE LORD puts on our hearts HE already has it all planned out and He is going before me.” Debbie VanAtta, Book Bags for the Homeless

Since 2007, Debbie has coordinated the distribution of over 500 book bags filled with hats, gloves, toiletries and assistance information to homeless people right here in Lancaster. The Rosewood Cafe will be helping by collecting donations and passing out the bags. I apologize for the short notice (it’s entirely my fault) but Debbie needs help tonight to organize the donations she’s collected so far in a storage barn someone has donated. We are meeting at Lancaster Community Church at 7:00 pm then driving to the barn at 632 E Allen Street. Please let me know if you can help tonight!
