Storms Won’t Last Forever

Eurice Moore

The Blizzard of 2010 is weeks behind us, yet there are still these mounds of snow scattered on the ground.

During my daily walk (the first one in over a week), as I was walking at a steady pace I began to encounter some of those mounds of snow. They are too large to step over therefore I had to walk around them which took me off my path and slowed me down. Being human, I became annoyed, until I received a revelation that this is how life is.

Suddenly, I began to smile.

When things are going well, we move at a steady pace, making progress. Yet, when faced with a challenge although it may appear that we are not making progress, everything is working for our good (Romans 8:28). God is working to build our character.

My lesson: never allow the challenges of life cause you to become discouraged, steal your joy or give up. Keep moving; keep trusting, keep smiling, for with each new day as the mounds of snow become smaller and smaller, your challenges will change.

There are only 20 days till spring!

I trust that you received your invitation to The Lexington Cafe Open House:

Eurice
