What are your New Year’s Resolutions? Here’s a list of mine over the years–
- Lose weight… no more chocolate for breakfast!
- Clean out all my closets… or at least organize my sock drawer!
- Save money… buying something on sale count!
- Love my neighbors… huh?
Love my neighbors? Sounds like a saintly idea… but how exactly does one go about loving this crowd of sometimes annoying, often off-putting, frequently freakish bunch of people God has placed around our homes?
- Remember that they may have the same impression of you! You’ve got a lot more in common than you think.
- Pray that God will open your eyes and break your heart for your neighbors.
- Look for opportunities to get to know your neighbors–start a conversation at the mailbox, deliver their paper, shovel their driveway.
- Start a Neighborhood Cafe Bible Study and share “Coffee, Conversation and Christ” with your neighbors in your home.
